Biografia

Theresa Andrews started college at Indiana University, but transferred to the University of Florida after her freshman year. At Florida she was a three-time NCAA Champion and was named All-American 13 times. After graduating from Florida, Andrews received a masters’ degree from The Ohio State University in clinical social work. She worked as a clinical social worker at the University of Virginia Health Science Center from 1992-99. Andrews then moved into banking, working for MBNA America and Bank of America in 1999, eventually becoming a vice-president of Bank of America and managing over 15 bank centers in Delaware and Pennsylvania.

Andrews was given the NCAA Silver Anniversary Award in 2008, which recognizes former college athletes who have excelled in their professions after graduation. Andrews won two Olympic gold medals in 1984, and gave the first to her brother at a private ceremony, to honor him for his courage after he had been paralyzed.
