Biografia

Flyweight boxer Rabah Khaloufi was born in Ouled Fayet, a suburb of the Algerian capital of Algiers, then under French control. He moved to France at age three, later embarking on a 21-year boxing career. He claimed eight French flyweight titles between 1967 and 1975, losing the final in 1969. Khaloufi competed in several major international championships, but was always eliminated in one of the early rounds. He competed in three European Championships (1969-1971-1973) and the inaugural World Amateur Boxing Championships in Havana in 1974. He also fought at the 1972 Munich Olympics, retiring after failing to qualify for Montréal 1976. He retired with 285 wins in 310 bouts, but remained active in boxing as a youth coach.
