She is one of only seven women to earn four or more career gold medals in the Winter Games.

First double

At the 1994 Olympic Winter Games in Lillehammer Chun won the 3,000m relay and 1,000m events, only losing out on one event.

Second double and even further

Lee-Kyung repeated her exploit at the Olympic Winter Games in Nagano in 1998 where she defended her two gold medals. She also added one more medal when she came in third at the 500m event. Her 1,000m win was particularly thrilling as she edged ahead of China's Yang Yang in the final stride.
