Lee Kang-in may be the only player capable of testing Kylian Mbappe's star power at Paris Saint Germain. The Korean's captivating style of play has earned him a place in the hearts of fans and catapulted him into the upper echelons of jersey sales at the French club.
Lee rose to fame in Paris after a successful junior football career. Born in 2011 in Incheon, Republic of Korea, Lee showed an early talent in football when he appeared on the Korean TV show Shoot Dori at the age of six. The show was about young footballers showcasing their skills. Afterwards, he joined the local team, Incheon United.
Recognising his talent, Spanish club Valencia's academy scouted the young prodigy at 10 years old. Lee's father, a taekwondo teacher, decided to relocate the family to Europe.
The young footballer rose through the ranks, earning recognition as one of the shining stars of Valencia's Mestalla (Valencia B team). He made his professional debut for the senior side in October 2018, becoming the first Asian player to do so.
