Garnett Wikoff won the 1912 Central Olympic Trial to make the Olympic Team. He competed for The Ohio State University, and was, with Clement Cooke, the first varsity Buckeye athlete to make the Olympics. Wikoff was captain of the Ohio State track team as a senior. He had been ineligible as a junior because he had competed for the Cleveland AC. After the 1912 Olympics, Wikoff settled in California. He was with the US Army engineers in World War I and eventually died in San Mateo, California.
