Biografia

Anne Marden started rowing at Phillips Exeter Academy and later rowed at Princeton University. She would eventually obtain an MBA from INSEAD, the international business school in Fontainebleau, France. Starting in 1986, Marden worked in the financial world with JP Morgan as a managing director of asset management.

Marden competed in three Olympics for the United States, winning silver medals in quad sculls in 1984 and in single sculls in 1988. She had also made the 1980 Olympic team that did not compete. Marden competed nine times at the World Championships (1978-79, 1981-82, 1985-87, 1990-91), wining a bronze medal in singles in 1985 and a bronze in doubles in 1987. Her other international medals include a gold in double sculls at the 1983 Pan American Games and a silver in singles at the 1986 Goodwill Games. Marden also won Boston's Head of the Charles Regatta seven times (1986-89, 1991-93).
