경력

A skier since the age of and a specialist in freestyle aerials since 1994, Veronica Brenner was for a long time the most seasoned freestyle skiing veteran on the Canadian Olympic team. She acquired her first World Cup win in 1995 and over her career totaled 26 medals with 11 wins at the World Cup. In the 1996-1997 season she was the champion at the World Cup Grand Prix and took bronze in her event at the World Championships. After placing ninth in the event at the 1998 Winter Olympics, her career hit a stumbling block when she injured her knees in a training accident and was forced to miss an entire season after surgery. She came back full force in 2002, however, with a gold and a bronze medal at the World Cup and a silver medal at the Salt Lake City Olympics. She retired in 2003 and has since donated some of her time to Right to Play, as well as working as a freestyle ski commentator for CBC and CTV. She is also an active member of the 2010 Vancouver Organizing Committee and began an MBA program in the fall of 2009.
