경력

Mainly a track sprinter, Bobby Livingston first came to national prominence when he won the 1983 National Junior match sprint. He eventually won five national titles on the track. In September 1989, Livingston set one of the more unusual world records at the International Human Powered Speed Championships, when he pedaled a hydrofoil craft at 18.76 mph for 100 meters on Lake Adrian near Salt Lake City.

Livingston earned a degree in exercise and sports management from the University of Florida, and became an expert in strength and conditioning. He was a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and of the National Strength and Conditioning Association. After his riding career he used his expertise to train and coach riders starting in 1993. In 1999 Livingston became Director of the Cox Cycling Team and later was the women’s team director of Saturn Cycling. He married a former Team Saturn rider, Karen Bliss Livingston.
