Mauri Nyberg-Noroma, born as Nyberg, competed in in three Olympics, winning bronze medals in the all-around team event in 1932 and 1936. His best results individually came in 1932 with a fourth place on the parallel bars, and in 1928, with a fifth place on the rings. Nyberg-Noroma worked for the railroad at the Elisenvaara Junction near his hometown of Vyborg. He died in 1939 in the Finnish-Soviet Winter War near Muolaa, which at that time was located in Finland’s Viipuri Province.
