Jiří Králík was a Czechoslovakian goaltender who started his career with his hometown club, TJ Gottwaldov, in 1968, but moved to HC Dukla Jihlava in 1976. He played for HC Dukla Jihlava through 1983 but then returned to Gottwaldov for two season, before finishing his career with two years in Germany with Starbulls Rosenheim. In 1978 he led HC Dukla Jihlava to the Spengler Cup title. Králík won the 1985 Golden Stick award, given to the best Czechoslovakian player.

Králík played at four World Championships, winning a gold in 1985 and silver medals in 1979, 1982, and 1983. He was named the best goaltender at the Worlds in 1982 and 1985, and was named to the World Championship all-star team both of those years. Králík played at the 1980 and 1984 Winter Olympics, winning a silver medal in 1984, and also competed at the 1981 Canada Cup. His first international appearance was at the 1970 European Junior Championship. In all he was capped 99 times for Czechoslovakia.
