경력

Spanish-born businessman Domingo Lorenzo came to the Dominican Republic in 1950 and settled in the city of San Pedro de Macorís in 1953. A keen sportsman, he played as a goalkeeper in soccer, but saw his greatest success in sport shooting, for which he represented the Dominican Republic at the 1968 and 1972 Summer Olympics. In the former, he competed in the trap event, but finished last in a field of 55 participants. In the latter, he took part in the skeet tournament and placed 62nd of 63 entrants. He also competed for his adopted nation at the Pan American Games (1975 and 1979), Central American and Caribbean Games (1978 and 1982), and World Championships. In addition, he was active in sports administration and became a pioneer in the nation’s skeet shooting scene. He was inducted as a member of the municipal San Pedro de Macorís Sports Hall of Fame in 2010, one year after his death. His sons Eduardo and Domingo have also represented the Dominican Republic internationally in sport shooting.
