Bryan Sprott placed fourth at the 1920 AAU/Olympic Trials meet, which qualified him for the Olympic Team. He competed for U Cal Berkeley and the Los Angeles AC. Sprott also played football at Cal as a running back. He was considered the star halfback of the 1920 Cal “Wonder Team.”
Sprott later started working for the Fibreboard Products Factory in Antioch, California. One of his hobbies was collecting railroad car numbers when they passed through town. One day at lunch, he was walking along the railroad tracks to collect more numbers when he was struck by a train and killed.
