경력

Andrey Tissin participated in the 1996 Olympics in the Kayak Doubles, but his greatest success came in the Fours. With the Russian squad, he won the 2001 World Championships over 500 metres (with Roman Zarubin, Aleksandr Ivanik, and the non-Olympian Denis Turchenkov), having won silver in 1999 (with Aleksandr Ivanik, Roman Zarubin, and the non-Olympian Vitaly Gankin) and bronze in 1998 (with Roman Zarubin and the non-Olympians Andrey Shchegolikhin and Vitaly Gankin). He also won European titles in the 200 metres (1999) and 500 metres (1999, 2001). In 2008, having become one of Russians national team coaches, he died during a training session. His motor boat suddenly capsized, and Tissin did not surface again. His body was not found, in spite of extensive searches of the reservoir.
