The high points of Yelizaveta Kozhevnikova’s career were at the 1992 and 1994 Winter Olympics, where she won her only international tournaments medals, silver in 1992 and bronze in 1994. Her best place at the World Championships was eighth in 1995 and Kozhevnikova ended her career in 1996 after a serious elbow injury. Beginning in 1997 she worked as a sports commentator with the Russian TV-channel NTV, writing mostly historical-biographical articles for the Russian skiing magazine Ski Sport and published a book Горные лыжи с самого начала (Alpine Skiing from the Very Beginning) in 1999.
