Biografia

At the Coliseum Relays in 1950, Warren Druetzler ran on a Michigan State 4x880y relay team that broke the world record. He was NCAA mile champion in 1951 and AAU steeplechase champion in 1950. Druetzler also helped Michigan State to national cross-country championships in 1948 and 1949, and a second place finish in 1950. He was runner-up at the AAU Meet in the 1,500 m in 1951-52 and the steeplechase in 1953-54. At the NCAA cross-country meet, Druetzler was runner-up in 1950 and three times placed in the top 10. Druetzler was a military personnel officer in the US Army at the time of his 1952 Olympic appearance. After his military retirement Druetzler worked as a personnel officer at the Decatur, Indiana plant of Central Soya of Fort Wayne.

Personal Bests: 1500 – 3:47.8 (1952); Mile – 4:08.8 (1951); 2 miles – 9:08.9 (1949); 3000S – 9:19.2 (1951); 5000 – 14:35.4 (1953).
