Biografia

Kent Vosler competed for The Ohio State University from 1974-78. He was second on the 1-metre springboard at the 1977 NCAAs and third on the 3-metre springboard at the 1974 NCAAs. He later won four national titles on platform, his best event. Vosler won a bronze medal at the 1975 Pan American Games on platform. In 1977 he was gold medalist on platform at the Universiade, and was named Diver-of-the-Year by Swimming World magazine that year. Vosler just missed an Olympic medal when he placed fourth on platform at the 1976 Montréal Games.

Vosler wanted to compete at the 1980 Olympics, but when the US boycotted he retired from the sport and entered coaching. He coached for one year at the University of South Carolina and six seasons at the University of Florida, where he also earned a masters’ degree in exercise and sports sciences in 1986. Vosler then returned to medical school, receiving a D.O. degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1992. He eventually ending up practicing family medicine in Glendale, Arizona.
