Idalberto Aranda had the following podium finishes at major championships: 1st in the 1995 Pan-American Games Featherweight class (302.5 kg); 1st in the 1999 Pan-American Games Middleweight class (355.0 kg). He set one middleweight clean & jerk world record in 1999.
