Biografia

Between 1988-90 Heinz Kuttin starred at the World Junior Championships, winning five gold medals, including individual normal hill titles in 1988 and 1990. He made his World Cup début in 1987 when only 16-years-old. Kuttin won four medals at the World Championships from 1989-93, with two gold medals in 1991 at Val di Fiemme, winning an individual gold on the normal hill. Kuttin competed at three Olympic Winter Games, winning three medals, with an individual bronze on the large hill in 1992, and team silver in 1992, and team bronze in 1994. Unfortunately, despite the great start to his career, multiple injuries led him to retire in 1995, when only 24.

Kuttin then became a ski jumping coach. From 1995-2002 he ran the Nordic ski center at the Villach Alpine Arena. From 2002-04 he was an assistant coach with the Austrian national team, but from 2004-06 he was head coach of the Polish national team. He later worked as a base coach in Villach for the Austrian ski federation.
