Biografia

Midland CC member David Noon started racing at the age of 19 and two years later, in 1899, was the Midland NCU 50-mile champion, a title he lost to Harry Chinn a year later. Major wins for Noon were limited, but shortly before the 1908 Olympics, he won the mile handicap at the Bath Festival. He took part in the 100 km at the Games, without success. After the Olympics, he took up tandem racing with Tom Peck, and later J. T. Shill, with whom he set the Midland 50-mile unpaced record, which stood for over 10 years. Noon joined Birmingham Rovers CC in 1910 and was, at one time, considered for selection for the 1912 Olympics but, in the end, never made the team.
