Toshio IRIYE

Prior to his silver medal at Los Angeles in 1932, Toshio Irie finished fourth in the 1928 100 metre backstroke. He had also set a world record in the 200 metre backstroke in 1928. Irie graduated from the School of Science and Engineering at Waseda University.
