बायोग्राफी

Tatyana Anisimova was the top Soviet female high hurdler in the 1970s. The apex of her career was at the 1976 Olympics, where she lost the 100 hurdles gold medal by only 0.01 seconds and had to settle for a silver medal. Due to injury she had to withdraw before the semi-finals of the 1980 Olympics high hurdles. Besides her Olympic silver, Anisimova won a 100 hurdles silver at the 1978 European Championships and silver at the 1977 and bronze at the 1975 Universiade. She also won 100 hurdles golds at the 1981 World Cup and 1979 and 1981 European Cups, 100 hurdles silver at the 1979 World Cup, and 60 hurdles bronzes at the 1975 and 1981 European Indoor Championships. Anisimova won seven Soviet titles – 100 hurdles in 1972, 1976, and 1978-79; 4x100 relay in 1981; and 4x200 relay in 1978 and 1981. After finishing her sports career, she worked as a children’s coach in St. Petersburg, also working with the St. Petersburg sport’s committee.
