Nils BACKSTRÖM

Nils Backstrom competed in the 50 km cross-country at both the 1932 and 1936 Winter Olympics. He emigrated from Sweden in 1928 along with Swedish gymnastic star Siggi Steinwall. They both joined the Swedish Ski Club, and Backstrom competed for that club throughout his career. Backstrom settled in the Cleveland area, where he worked in various jobs, including as a chauffeur for a private family.
