George Kerr competed at three Olympics, twice representing Jamaica and once the West Indies Federation (1960). At the British Empire and Commonwealth Games, Kerr won the 440 yards and added a silver in the 880 in 1962. He also won bronze in the 880 at the 1966 Games. In relays he won gold with the 4x440 in 1962 and bronze at 4x440 in 1958. At the Pan American Games he won gold medals in the 400 and 4x400 in 1959, adding a silver in the 800 that year. Kerr represented Jamaica at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games but represented the British West Indies at the Pan American Games.
