William Eugene PEMELTON

Billy Pemelton was AAU indoor pole vault champion in 1965, but never placed at the outdoor AAU or the NCAA Meet. He was third in both pole vault Olympic Trials in 1964. Pemelton went to Mercedes High School in Texas, where he played football and was Texas state champion in the 180-yard low hurdles. He vaulted in college at Abilene Christian University.
