Biographie

Todd Eldredge is the greatest American male skater never to have won an Olympic gold medal. Eldredge first became known nationally when he won the 1984 US Novice Championships. In 1987 he was US Junior Champion, winning the World Junior Championship in 1988. At the senior level, Eldredge won six US Titles, in 1990-91, 1995, 1997-98, and 2002. He was World Champion in 1996, was second three times – in 1995 and 1997-98, and third in 2001. Eldredge’s other major titles include three consecutive wins at Skate America (1996-98), two wins at Trophée Lalique (1994, 1997), and the Goodwill Winter Games in 1998. He competed in three Winter Olympics, with a best finish of fourth in 1998. After the 2002 Winter Olympics, Eldredge joined Stars on Ice, still skating with them through 2010. He was inducted into the US Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 2008.
