Biographie

Stephen Trevor fenced at Columbia University, graduating in 1986 with degrees in psychology and political science. He competed at two Olympic Games in épée and won two silver medals in team épée at the 1983 and 1987 Pan American Games. Trevor later earned an MBA from Harvard in 1992 and went to work in the financial world.

He initially worked for Time Warner but then joined Goldman Sachs in 1992 joined Goldman Sachs in 1992, working in their Hong Kong, London and New York offices for over 15 years. From 1999-2004, Trevor was based in London and led Goldman Sachs Capital Partners' investing activities in Germany. Starting in 2004 he was based in New York, focusing on industrial investing for their Principle Investment area. In 2007 Trevor joined Morgan Stanley Investment Management to head up their private equity business. He later joined Avenue Capital Group as senior managing director of distressed-for-control investments.
