At the 1974 World Championships she won her second title in the relay, while at the 1976 Olympics, Baldycheva again won gold in the relay, placing third in the 5 km and fourth in the 10 km. She was not selected to the Soviet 1978 World Championships team and made her last international appearance at the 1980 Olympics, where she won silver in the relay and was fifth in 5 km and sixth in 10 km.
