A member of the Hamilton Gun Club, Mylie Fletcher’s greatest success in trap shooting came at the 1908 Summer Olympics where, alongside George Beattie, Walter Ewing, David McMackon, George Vivian, and Arthur Westover, he won a silver medal in the team event. He also competed individually and finished joint-seventh, with Richard Hutton of Great Britain and John Wilson of the Netherlands. In 1907 he captured the Brewers and Maltsters Trophy.
