After ranking second in the world in 1957 he showed in-and-out form over the next six seasons, but in 1964 he was back at his best and, after winning the AAU 400m, he went on to become Olympic champion and won a second gold medal in the relay. Larrabee, a Southern Cal graduate, later became a regional Coors distributor.

Personal Bests: 100 – 10.5 (1964); 200 – 21.0 (1959); 400 – 44.9 (1964).
