Biographie

Marc Waldie was a high school basketball player from Wichita, Kansas but was a four-year volleyball starter for The Ohio State University, making All-American three times. Waldie helped Ohio State get to the Final Four three times, with a runner-up finish in 1977. Waldie made the US national team in 1976 and played with them through 1984. He played at the 1978 and 1982 World Championships and the 1979 Pan American Games.

After retiring as a player Waldie worked in real estate development in California. In the early 1990s he returned to Wichita where he started his own construction business. He has also served as a volunteer coach for Wichita State University. Waldie was induced into the Ohio State Athletic Hall of Fame in 2001.
