Biographie

Buck Levy was the first Louisianan to compete in the Winter Olympics. He was in the Army, stationed in Colorado at Camp Hale at the time of the 1956 Winter Olympics, and attended Western State College in Gunnison. Levy later attended LSU Medical School and became a general practitioner, first in Long Beach, California, but later for many years in Sun Valley, Idaho. He also continued to stay active, spending some time as a ski instructor, running 37 marathons, and competing in cross-country ski marathons. Levy also became a close friend of pro golfer David Duval, who frequently took holidays in Sun Valley.
