Biographie

Luis Maria Heyden, who was born in Venezuela as the son of a German diplomat, competed for Germany in tennis at the 1912 Olympics, losing in the quarter-finals of both singles and doubles. Heyden was German champion in doubles in 1912 and 1921, with Louis Trasenster in 1912 and Heinrich Schomburgk in 1921, and won the German mixed doubles title in 1922-23, alongside Lilí Álvarez. Hayden played Wimbledon in 1914, losing in the third round of singles, and making the quarter-finals in doubles alongside Robert Spiess. In 1926 he lost the first round at the US Open.
