Biographie

Karl-Heinz Stadtmüller, an East German race walker, came in eleventh in the 50 km at the 1972 München Olympic Games, fourth in the 20 km at the 1976 Montréal Olympics, and eighth four years later in Moskva. In 1972 he set two world records in 20 km and 30 km race walking. He was disqualified at both the 1974 and 1978 European Championships. Stadtmüller won the East German Championships in the 20 km in 1973, 1974 and 1980, and in the 50 km in 1972 and 1980. He was trained as an electromachinist.

Personal Bests: 20kmW – 1-22:25 (1980); 50kmW – 4-02:00 (1978).
