Biographie

Juno Stover placed fifth in the 1948 Olympic platform, but as Mrs. Irwin she won medals in both 1952 and 1956. Her bronze medal in the 1952 platform was won while she was 3½ pregnant with her second child. At the Pan American Games she won silver in platform in 1955 as well as in 1959. Representing the Los Angeles AC, she won her second AAU platform title in 1960, and in that year became the first U.S. diver to compete in four Olympics. After retiring from active competition, Mrs. Irwin coached both men's and women's diving for a junior college and then became women's diving coach at Cal/ Berkeley.
