Biographie

Joško Janša from the village of Dovje was a farmer and initially played soccer for the team of Jesenice along with his brother. Later, he competed in cross-country skiing and ski jumping. He was considered to have a great potential, but due to lack of funds, Yugoslavia did not attend the 1932 Winter Games. With 38 m he broke the national record in ski-jumping at Bled. His brother Janko also took part in both cross-country events in 1928.
