Biographie

James Lincoln finished second in the AAU javelin throw four times – 1916-17 and 1919-20. He competed for Stanford and the New York AC. His runner-up at 1920 AAU Meet placed him on the Olympic Team, as the meet doubled as the Olympic Trials. Lincoln competed at Antwerpen in the javelin, most notable for when one of his warm-up throws struck Finnish thrower Jonni Myyrä on the shoulder. Despite that, Myyrä went on to win the gold medal while Lincoln finished ninth. He later became a shipping agent for Southern Pacific Steamship Company.

Personal Best: JT – 60.18 (1920).
