Biographie

After coxing the Oxford boat in from 1911 to 1914, Henry Wells was called to the Bar by Gray’s Inn in 1914. Shortly afterwards, on the outbreak of war, he joined the 6th London Brigade and was awarded the MBE in 1919. Wells, who was educated at Winchester and Magdalen College, Oxford, was appointed a County Court Judge in 1934 and retired in 1958.
