Biographie

Prior to taking up tennis, Clemente Serventi was a goalkeeper with SS Lazio and played in the national finals against Casale in 1913/14. In 1914 he also helped manage the team. Serventi served as a corporal in World War I on the front, and never played football after the war, taking up tennis.

Serventi competed at the top Italian level from 1923-34. He was runner-up at the 1930 Italian Championships. Serventi competed at Roland Garros in 1929, losing in round two. He also played the 1923 World Hard Court Championships, again losing in round two. After he left international play, Serventi continued to compete at the Napoli Invitational in the 1930s.
