With two bronze medals from the 1913 World Championships, Casimir Reuterskiöld was a highly experienced pistol shooter for the Swedish team, who also earned a team free pistol silver medal. Reuterskiöld was a career military officer, serving as a captain at the time of the Olympics and retiring as a major, having organized Sweden's first air ambulance service. He later became assistant director of C. G. Hallberg Guldsmeds, a goldsmith purveying to the Swedish court.
