Carole Ormaca skated pairs with Robin Greiner. They began skating in Fresno, and in their first year together, 1952, won the California State Championship and the Pacific Coast Championships. In 1953 they won their first of four consecutive US Pairs titles. Together they finished fourth at the World Championships in 1954, 1955, and 1956. Ormaca attended Fresno State College. In 1986 she became somewhat famous when she caught a tarpon off the coast of Key West, setting a women’s line class world record. Ormaca was inducted into the Fresno Athletic Hall of Fame in 1966.
