Biographie

Aretha-Hill Thurmond was a discus thrower who was a four-time Olympian, in 1996, 2004, 2008, and 2012, as Miss Hill in 1996 and 2004, and as Mrs. Thurmond in 2008 and 2012. Hill-Thurmond won three medals at the Pan American Games, golds in 1999 and 2003, and a silver in 2011. She also won three medals at the Grand Prix Final, with silver in 2003 and bronzes in 2004-05, and won a silver at the 2006 World Cup.

Aretha Hill graduated from the University of Washington in 1998 with a sociology degree. At the NCAAs, she was second in 1996 and third in 1998. She later worked for USA Track & Field as associate director of international teams.
