Biographie

Buddy Lee wrestled Greco-Roman at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, finishing sixth as a featherweight. Lee was a three-time US Champion in Greco-Roman and won 14 Armed Forces national titles while serving in the US Marine Corps. He was twice a World Military Champion in freestyle. Lee wrestled in college at Old Dominion University where he was a three-time D1 All-American. Lee also competed in sambo, a wrestling style combining elements of judo, and was a three-time US champion in that style, also winning a World Cup bronze medal. Lee was twice named Marine Athlete of the Year and later coached the US Marine wrestling team.

Lee used jump roping as a training technique and became renowned for his ability in that discipline. He performed jump rope routines in 24 countries, on television, in front of world leaders, and at NBA halftime shows. Lee started Jump Rope Technology, Inc., which designs and makes jump ropes for training and competition. He has served as a motivational speaker and writes columns and books on jump rope training. Lee is a member of the Old Dominion Sports Hall of Fame.
