Biographie

Andreas Weigand competed for the Washington Canoe Club, racing alongside his brother Peter Weigand, at the 1968 Olympics. Andreas graduated from American University in 1968 with a degree in physics. He later attended Cal State Long Beach, earning a masters in 1972. Weigand won 22 national championships in C-1, C-2, and C-4, at various distances. At the time of the 1968 Olympics he was in the Air Force and became a pilot, and he later became a private pilot for Wrather Corporation.
