Steve Woznick was primarily a track sprinter, who won seven national titles on the track between 1969-75, in the kilo time trial, the match sprint (1974-75), and team pursuit (1973), including four consecutive titles (1972-75) in the kilo. Woznick was a versatile cyclist, also racing on the roads and in cyclo-cross, and in 1973 he won the Tour of Fitchburg, one of the top American road races. In 1972 he was a member of the US Army, and won the 1972 CISM titles in the sprint and kilo. At the 1975 Pan American Games Woznick won gold in the match sprint and a bronze in the kilo. He also raced at the 1973-75 World Championships. Woznick was inducted into the US Bicycling Hall of Fame in 2003.
