Biografía

Sébastien Flûte celebrated his greatest victories in the early 1990s. In 1991 he became indoor World Champion, followed by European gold the next year. Barely 20-years-old, he upset his competitors to claim gold at the Barcelona Olympics. In 1993, he won the world title with the French squad. In 1995 and 1997, Flûte won medals at the World Indoor Championships (two silvers and a bronze), while collecting numerous European Championship medals as well. His best Olympic result after Barcelona came in Sydney, when he reached the quarter-finals and was ranked eighth. Flûte retired form the sport to start his own archery equipment line, called SF Archery. In order to compete at the 2012 London Games, Flûte staged a comeback. While resulting in a French national title in 2011, he did not manage to qualify and then retired for the second time.
