Ricardo Daniel IBARRA

In addition to his three Olympic appearances, with two finals in the singles, Ricardo Ibarra was a three-time gold medalist in the singles sculls at the Pan-American Games – in 1975, 1979 and 1983. He also carried the Argentine flag at the 1984 Olympic Opening Ceremony, and won the Olimpia de Plata eight times, a yearly honor given by Argentine sportswriters. After his competitive career ended, Ibarra became coach of the Argentine national rowing team.
