Biografía

Philippe Médard was a goalkeeper who was one of the leaders of the French team that brought them to international prominence, finishing his career after the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, where he led France to a bronze medal. Médard was on the French national team from 1979-92, earning 188 caps, and starting as goalkeeper from 1983-92. Domestically he was a seven-time French Champion, winning with Stella Sports Saint-Maur in 1980, USM Gagny in 1982 and 1985-87, and USAM Nîmes in 1990-91. He also played for Montpellier Paillade SC, Massy 91 Finances, and AC Boulogne-Billancourt during his club career, and won the 1987 Coupe de France with USM Gagny.
