Biografía

Nils Bertil Täpp was born and competed for Malungs IF until 1945 under the name Persson. In these years he won Swedish Championships in the 15 km (1943), the relay (1942) and the 30 km team event (1943). In 1946 he competed for Sågmyra IF and won another Swedish Championship in the 15 km. His last Swedish Championship came in 1949 in the relay, this time with the team of Östersunds SK. In 1950 and 1951 he took bronze and silver, respectively, in the 18 km event of the Swedish Ski Games. His good results over the short distance earned him a place on the Swedish relay team which won gold at the 1948 Winter Olympics and the 1950 World Championship and bronze at the 1952 Winter Olympics. He had only one individual appearance at the Olympics with a seventh place in the 1952 18 km.
