Biografía

At the 1980 Moskva Olympics, Nikolay Sidorov was eliminated in the semifinal of the 200 metres and ran the second leg for the Soviet’s gold medal winning 4x100 m relay team. At the 1982 European Championships, Sidorov was fifth in the 100 and won gold medal with the sprint relay. He also participated in the first World Championships in 1983, where he was eliminated in the 100 heats and won a bronze medal in the 4x100 m relay. Sidorov missed the 1984 Olympics due to the Soviet boycott, but won a sprint relay gold at the 1984 Friendship Games, a replacement games contested by the Soviet Union and other Eastern European countries that boycotted the 1984 Olympics. Sidorov was Soviet 100 metre champion in 1980-81. After finishing his sporting career, he worked as an athletics coach in Moskva.

Personal Bests: 100 – 10.32 (1982); 200 – 20.79 (1982).
