Biografía

Nick Stacey was a sprinter who competed in the 200 metres and the 4x400 relay at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. He won a silver medal in the 4x110 yd relay at the 1950 British Empire Games, competing for England. At the AAA Championships he was second in the 220 yd in 1951 and third in 1951. Stacey attended the University of Oxford, and then took Holy Orders in 1952, becoming the Dean of Greenwich. However, his outspoken views led him to leave that job in 1967. He became deputy director of Oxfam for two years and was then director of social services for the London borough of Ealing, before joining the Kent County Council, serving in that position from 1974-85.

Personal Bests: 100 – 9.9 (1949); 200 – 21.79 (1952); 400 – 48.4 (1952).
